Adaptive Rate NOMA for Cellular IoT Networks

چکیده

Internet-of-Things (IoT) technology is envisioned to enable a variety of real-time applications by interconnecting billions sensors/devices. These IoT devices rely on low-power wide-area wireless connectivity for transmitting, mostly fixed- but small-size, status updates the random processes observed them. Owing their ubiquity, cellular networks are seen as natural candidate providing reliable devices. Given massive number devices, enabling non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) mobile users and appealing in terms efficient utilization spectrum compared orthogonal (OMA). For instance, uplink NOMA can also be configured such that adapt transmission rates depending upon channel conditions while transmit at fixed rate. this setting, we analyze ergodic capacity mean local delay using stochastic geometry. Our analysis demonstrates aforementioned configuration provides better OMA when constraint strict. We show supports larger packet size than under same constraint.

Short-Packet Communications with NOMA for IoT Applications

This work introduces downlink non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) into short-packet communications. NOMA has great potential to improve fairness and spectral efficiency with respect to orthogonal multiple access (OMA) for lowlatency downlink transmission, thus making it attractive for the emerging Internet of Things. We consider a two-user downlink NOMA system with finite blocklength constrai...

Spectral and Energy Efficient Wireless Powered IoT Networks: NOMA or TDMA?

Wireless powered communication networks (WPCNs), where multiple energy-limited devices first harvest energy in the downlink and then transmit information in the uplink, have been envisioned as a promising solution for the future Internet-of-Things (IoT). Meanwhile, non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) has been proposed to improve the system spectral efficiency (SE) of the fifth-generation (5G)...

Harvested Energy-adaptive Mac Protocol for Energy Harvesting Iot Networks

In energy harvesting IoT networks, an energy queue state of an IoT device will change dynamically and the number of IoT devices that transmit data to the IoT AP will vary in a frame. So we need a MAC protocol to adjust the frame length taking the amount of energy of IoT devices into consideration. Since the existing Framed slotted ALOHA (F-ALOHA) Medium Access Control (MAC) protocol utilizes th...
